CALL FOR PAPERS: Conference on Environment and Energy, 2025

Conference Theme:
Enhancing Environmental Resilience for Food Production and Energy Sustainability

Organizers:
Kabarak University, in partnership with TEAMEnvironment KENYA and Kenya Forest Research Institute (KEFRI), invites empirical works and case studies for presentation at the Climate Action, Agroecology, Sustainable Landscape Restoration, and Bamboo Expo Conference to be held at Kabarak University.

Call for Papers & Publication:

• All submissions will undergo a double-blind peer review for potential publication in a Special Issue of the Kabarak University Journal of Research & Innovation.

Conference Objectives:

1. To create a forum for discussion and exchange of ideas on contemporary issues of Climate Action, energy resource efficiency, and sustainable landscape/ecosystem restoration.
2. To discuss the role of academia in Climate Action.
3. To provide a forum for discussions on the impact of technology, innovation, national policies, and global trends on energy and the environment.
4. To facilitate intellectual exchanges on opportunities and challenges presented by new technological developments and innovations.

Conference and Exhibitions:

• The event will feature exhibitions showcasing technological innovations in environmental sustainability, energy efficiency, and climate resilience.

Conference Mode: Hybrid (Both Physical and Virtual Participation Available) Paper Presentation Tracks:

1. Digital climate information and climate change adaptation.
2. Industrial ecology and clean production.
3. Emerging issues in waste management for environmental sustainability.
4. Climate-smart agricultural technologies for food security.
5. Carbon emissions reduction and energy use management practices.
6. Emerging and cross-cutting issues in environmental and clean energy management.
7. Participatory natural resource management practices for environmental sustainability.

Conference Fees:

• Kabarak University Undergraduate Students: KES 1,000
• Kenyan Participants: KES 5,000
• International Participants: USD 100

Conference Timelines:

• Abstract Submission Deadline: 25th February 2025
• Full Paper Submission Deadline: 25th March 2025
• Paper Acceptance and Notification: 22nd April 2025
• Registration Deadline: 20th May 2025
• Conference Dates: 10th - 11th July 2025
