CALL FOR PAPERS: International Conference on Psychology and Mental Health
The Kenya Universities Professional Counselors’ Association (KUPCA) in collaboration with Kabarak University wishes to call for empirical works and case studies for presentation at the International Conference on Psychology and Mental Health to be held at Kabarak University on 16th -18th October 2024.
Theme: Mental Health: A Fundamental Right for All
Conference Objectives
- Provide a platform for dissemination of research findings amongst the peers.
- Create a forum for discussions on emerging issues on psychology and mental health.
- To create a platform for professional networking and foster exchange of ideas and expertise as well as spur collaboration
TYPES OF PRESENTATIONS
The International Conference on Psychology and Mental Health calls for abstracts that will lead to presentations as; Poster Presentation, Oral Paper Presentations or Panel Discussions.
SUBMISSION FORMATS
- Abstracts: Maximum of 250 words, Font 12, Times New Roman, and 1 inch margins. They should comprise an overview of the motivation, objective, methods, results, and conclusions of the proposed work in a brief, non-repetitive style.
- Short Papers: Maximum of 15 pages, font 12, times new roman, and 1 inch margins. They should contain an abstract (200 words), background / literature review, methodology, results, implications / recommendations and references.

- Environmental, Emerging and Re-Emerging Issues in Mental Health.
- Education, Technology, Artificial Intelligence and Innovations in Mental Health
- Policy, Social, Political and Economic Issues in Mental Health
- Child, Adolescent, Youth and Ageing Mental Health Issues
- Trauma-Informed Care, Treatment and Healing in Mental Health
- Substance Abuse and Addictions Interventions
Publication
All submissions will be double blind peer reviewed for publication in a special issue of the Kabarak University Journal of Research (KJRI) which is charged separately.
