Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • The submission consists only of an abstract, as only abstracts will be accepted for the Kabarak University Annual Health Conference.
  • I acknowledge that full papers should be submitted separately for review and publication in the Kabarak University Journal of Medical, Pharmaceutical, and Allied Sciences (KJMPS) once the abstract has been accepted and reviewed.
  • I acknowledge that policy briefs, progress reports, and best practice papers will be published in special issues of KJMPS once the abstract has been accepted and reviewed.

Author Guidelines

  • Abstracts (structured or unstructured) should not be more than 300 words in English, typed in Times New Roman, Font 12 with a line spacing of 1.5 and should outline the aims, content and conclusions and include Key words (5 max), Sub-Theme, Title, Authors' Name, Affiliations, Email Address, and Telephone Number of the Corresponding author. Note:NO NAME SHOULD APPEAR ON THE SUBMITTED ABSTRACT-ANONYMOUS SUBMISSION (TheĀ  page should only contain the Title and the Content)
  • Full papers will be submitted upon acceptance of the abstract to the Kabarak University Journal of Medical, Pharmaceutical and Allied Sciences.
  • Posters: A4 size ( 11.7" x 8.3") or (11.7" by 11.7") or within that aspect ratio, proportionally formatted and the submission MUST either be in PDF, Powerpoint or Publisher file formats.

Submissions that address social determinants of health, strategies for reaching marginalised populations, and frameworks for reducing disparities in healthcare access

Multisectoral Partnerships for Resilient Health Systems

Papers that evaluate collaborative models between government, the private sector, and civil society to enhance service delivery.

Climate Change, Emerging Threats, and Global Health Security & Preparedness

Research on the health impacts of environmental shifts and strategies for pandemic preparedness and biosecurity.

Policy, Leadership, and Sustainable Financing for UHC

Papers examining health governance, economic models for sustainable UHC funding, and leadership strategies that improve health system accountability.
