About the Conference
Cancer is the third leading cause of mortality in Kenya, with 44,726 new cases reported in 2022. In this light, the Kabarak University School of Pharmacy and International Cancer Institute Conference aims to disseminate research and foster discussions on diverse sub-themes touching on patient care, interventional clinical trials, pharmaceutical manufacturing, access to medication, healthcare policy, and healthcare workforce training within the oncology sector. The conference aligns with Pillar 5 of the National Cancer Control Strategy 2023-2027, particularly by promoting research that will contribute to cancer prevention and control. In addition to listening to inspiring keynote presentations from thought leaders, our audience will find abundant networking opportunities among oncology pharmacists, oncologists, oncology nurses, and students attending the conference. Pharmaceutical industry players who wish to showcase healthcare products and technologies within the oncology space have an opportunity to meet potential clients during the conference.
